Under the shadow of Mount Edgecumbe lies Sitka Sound. Every year during this time the herring come back into the sound to spawn and lay their eggs. The humpback whales return to fatten themselves up on the abundance of herring.
This is where the incredible bubble net feeding takes place. This is an amazing experience to watch and listen to the whale's songs! The bald eagles and otters also come to feed on the herring and the commercial fisherman come sening for their catch.
it is truly a trip of a lifetime to watch all of this feeding frenzy, the waters turn a milky turquoise color from the herring spawn, and of course, our private chef will fill you up with incredible seafood.

The M/V Northern Song is 85’ x 26’ x 10’ steel world cruiser with a capacity for 8-10 guests in four staterooms. There is a Master Suite that in with a queen-sized bed on the main deck and that includes one queen size bed on the main deck with an ensuite bathroom with a separate bathtub stall and shower. There is the ability to add an extra cot in this stateroom. There are three guest cabins on the lower deck with a full-size bed and a single upper bed, and an ensuite bathroom with a separate shower stall.
ou will be picked up at your accommodation at 1:45 pm for a 2:00 pm departure. The boat will return to Petersburg at 2: 00 pm, where you will be delivered to your lodging.
Please send us a friendly email to let us know you are canceling. If we receive a cancellation notice 150 or more days before the departure date, your deposit will be refunded less a 10% cancellation fee of the total fare cost and any commissions. You may also transfer your reservation to another available date if you choose.
Travelers will not receive a refund if cancellations are made 149 days or less before departure. Therefore we recommend getting travel insurance to protect your fare in case any unanticipated circumstances require you to cancel your trip.
Alaska Sea Adventures requires a 25% deposit to secure your trip if it is more than 365 days prior to departure and a second deposit of 25% 365 days prior to departure with final payment due 150 days before departure. It is a 50% deposit to secure your trip if it is 365 to 151 days prior to departure, with final payment due 150 days before to departure. If it is 150 days or less prior to departure, the trip must be paid for in full.
